Macmillan was the original publisher of both Alice books, in 1865 and 1871, and is proud to remain true to the vision of its creators. The dreamlike illustrations, colour versions of Sir John Tenniel's originals, were produced in 1911 by celebrated artist Harry Theaker, under the direction of Tenniel himself, and the series completed by contemporary watercolourist Diz Wallis.
